Abrimos con las palabras de la maestra del pensamiento fronterizo: Gloria Anzaldúa. Viajamos al Caribe, a las islas ABC, para adentrarnos en el papiamento, esa lengua criolla que nace del encuentro (Keisha Wiel y Juny Martina). Cruzamos hacia República Dominicana para conocer el origen del tostón (Cosita Frita), y recorremos el cine negro latinoamericano en toda su hondura (Heitor Augusto). Nos sentamos para pensar el ícono de la tal silla de plástico (Augusta Lecaros). Creatura nos invita a mirar las fronteras del sur a través de una selección de fotógrafas y fotógrafos, mientras Cocaworlds reúne obras que tocan la reivindicación de la hoja de coca. De los Andes, comemos con los ojos las fotografías de Uriel Montúfar y su cosmovisión andina en entrevista con Cristina de Branco.

Es, además, la primera vez que LatimLove sale al mundo con dos portadas: una dedicada a la reina del cabaret mexicano, Astrid Hadad, fotografiada por Manuel Zúñiga; y otra protagonizada por el hipnótico influencer Leche de Alien, retratado por Yulissa Aranibar, representando los nuevos imaginarios de una generación joven del Perú. En tiempos de desesperanza nos devuelve la esperanza el contragolpe black de Erica Malunguinho y Áurea Carolina.

We open with the words of the teacher of border thinking: Gloria Anzaldúa. We travel to the Caribbean, to the ABC islands, to delve into Papiamento, that creole language born from encounter (Keisha Wiel and Juny Martina). We cross over to the Dominican Republic to learn about the origins of the tostón (Costia Frita), and explore Latin American Black cinema in all its depth (Heitor Augusto). We sit down to think about the icon of that plastic chair (Augusta Lecaros). Creatura invites us to look at the southern borders through a selection of photographers, while Cocaworlds brings together works that touch on the revindication of the coca leaf. From the Andes, the photographs of Uriel Montúfar and his Andean cosmovisión in an interview with Cristina de Branco.

It is also the first time LatimLove goes out into the world with two covers: one dedicated to the Mexican queen of cabaret Astrid Hadad, photographed by Manuel Zúñiga; and another featuring the hypnotic influencer Leche de Alien, portrayed by Yulissa Aranibar, representing the new imaginaries of a young generation in Peru. In times of despair, the Black counterstrike from Erica Malunguinho and Áurea Carolina gives us hope.
